Taller de Pop-up!

Los libros o tarjetas tridimensionales, comúnmente llamados Pop-up, son objetos que nos atraen por su carácter sorprendente, lúdico e interactivo. Suelen verse en tiendas de regalos o librerías, pero lo que la mayoría no sabe, es que estos fascinantes diseños pueden ser construidos manualmente, y en la comodidad de un taller.

Este Taller de Pop-up tiene como objetivo aprender a incorporar una tercera dimensión a libros y tarjetas mediante el manejo de planos de papel, añadiéndoles otra forma de expresión artística.

El taller está dividido en tres fases: En las dos primeras se enseñan las dos principales técnicas del Pop-up: la de una pieza (90°), que se utiliza mucho para la realización de tarjetas; y la de múltiples piezas (180°), que se encuentra en la mayoría de los libros Pop-up. Todo esto a partir de la construcción de volúmenes geométricos básicos por medio de cortes, pliegues y pegado de papel. En la tercera fase, tras conocer los elementos básicos de la técnica, se desarrollan proyectos Pop-up de acuerdo a los intereses particulares de cada participante, como una instancia para despertar la imaginación por medio de la labor creativa.

El precio completo del taller con los materiales incluidos es 70 euros.

Three-dimensional books and cards, commonly called Pop-up objects, attract our attention because of their surprising, playful and interactive nature. They are usually seen in gift shops or bookstores, but most of us don’t realize that these we can actually build fascinating ourselves, and in the comfort of a workshop.

This Pop-up Workshop explains how to incorporate a third dimension to books and cards by way of handling flat surfaces, endowing these objects with a new form of artistic expression. The workshop is divided into three phases. The main techniques of Pop-up are explained in the first two sessions: the 90-degree single-piece, widely used in greeting cards; and the 180-degree manifold, found in most Pop-up books – building basic geometric volumes by means of cutting, folding and gluing paper. In the third phase, Pop-up projects are developed according to the particular interests of each participant, as an instance to awaken the imagination through creative work.

Her interest in this language has led her to develop her own technique for various purposes, including the creation of art objects, design of sceneries and other spaces, publicity material and giveaways, conducting Pop-up training workshops and helping other artists express themselves in the Pop-up language.

This workshop will take place on Saturdays 7, 14 and 21 of July from 11 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The full price of the workshop with materials included is 70 euros.
